XO Communications give run-around
XO Communication Customer Service is the Worst Ever
XO Communications Worst Service
Well here it is thirty days later. The is little headway.
The DIDs have been changed. The White page information is not corrected, and the non-working number is still NF.
No communications from XO at all, so I have no idea when they will be correcting the problems. I do have a trouble ticket, but the only thing that does is that I can call and they look up the ticket and then say \"call back later\".
XO makes people pay for fraudulent calls.
The auto-renewal is part of their T&Cs.
To your "dismay" sounds like you did not read your T&Cs.
Or maybe someone else in your company signed the contract and sent you to try to get out of it.
As a former ISP consultant, I've referred customers to XO and several other ISPs.
It amazes me when a consumer comes back disputing something they agreed to and now are "dismayed" when they do not get the easy way out. I also encouraged reading the T&Cs and ask/address any concerns on the front end.
(Just my thoughts as I've come across this millions of times with not only XO but other ISP customers)
Just want to add our case to the already stated garbage service that XO is providing customers. We also got locked into an Auto-renewed 3 year contract because our Sales Rep (3 or 4th one we've had) gave us an incorrect expiration date on our contract. Ironically, he left the company 2 weeks after we had this conversation.
Stay away from this company, unlike tecoadvo's ignorant original post, most companys DO provide some sort of notice and don't just automatically renew customer contracts.
XO is a shady *** company that should be out of business. STAY AWAY

I'm glad I came across this thread. We were considering XO for failover. Long story short. Not only XO wouldn't quote us on exactly what we were looking for, they were hounding me every day by phone and e-mail asking to sign a contract. Once I made things clear in terms of what we were looking for (as the first 3 times, sales manager didn't quite grasp it), he continued to constantly harass me asking of when I can sign a contract... Can you sign today ? I would respond that services quoted were not what we are looking for ? Sales response: "Do you think you can sign tomorrow ?" then "do you think you can sign this Friday?" then "do you think you can sign before end of month?" Then he would include things that his job is on the line (that statement was in just about every other e-mail that he sent as well as it would be the first thing he would mention when he called me). I would get an e-mail, then a call and a voice mail, then another call and another call and another. Seriously ?
Learn to listen to your potential customers ?
Today I decided to put this issue on hold at least until we get closer to the expiration date of the existing service (which I made point blank clear since very beginning). Sales response "Unacceptable....." followed by a long, long paragraph including lies about what I was discussing and at the end of the paragraph another sales pitch... Really?! You are going to harass me, annoy me, insult me and then tell me it is unacceptable when to decide which carrier to choose and when to consider what carrier ?!
?!? Really????
For those that consider this carrier, I would be very cautious, I sure am not going to ever deal with them. I'm glad I learned about their sales practices, it will help me make better decisions in the future and discard the sleazy account managers in the future . I will never deal with XO. I am a potential customer, I'm not here to make poor management decisions to make your numbers look good and I really don't want to hear whether your job is on the line, I have my own problems and don't want to deal with your personal problems. Plain and simple, this was very unprofessional on their behalf, but as I already mentioned it was a good learning experience, I thought I`ve seen it all, but I was wrong…
avoid these clowns. but they are still profitable - raking in the dough.
